PROCESS

Every VARIABLE STANDARD garment begins with a question: How can function become form?

Our process starts with raw, considered materials selected not only for performance, but for how they receive dye, how they move, and how they change over time. In our Philadelphia studio, we apply layered techniques—pigment dye, oxidation, sublimation, and garment dye—to create garments that hold tension between control and unpredictability.

Each piece is approached as a study of surface, structure, and movement. No two are exactly alike, yet all operate within the same system.

Variation is not an imperfection. It is evidence of process.
